One key to planetary stewardship is to embrace the Vegan diet
Earth has nearly 8 billion Human beings and her population of residents keeps growing.
Sustaining a viable planet has many positive solutions — one of which is to embrace the Vegan diet
Or least partially so…
Each year trillions of animals are systematically slaughtered in the guise of many conditionings due to protein needs, taste, cultural factors, and just What we are plain used to.
Food habits are established early in life and are wired deeply into our being —fueled by our culture, habits parental emotions, and bonding.
And so many have tried or become vegan or not and there is everything in between
Ultimately one has to choose for themselves. However, this brief dialogue outlines positive reasons as to why it’s vital
Animal waste is a major source of methane gas in our atmosphere their solid wastes are polluting and destroying natural habitats
Pasture lands are constantly increasing destroying wild habitats and native animals and vegetation. Artificial fencing also traps animal migrations and so the genetic impact is unknown Only the last few hundred years have Been in place.
Crops grown for animals can be used for world hunger instead of animals
Animal fat and protein is a major source and problem in many diseases and syndromes . Meats contain many organic and inorganic contaminants that may have known and unknown consequences within body and mind.
Killing of animals for food has always been a great debate. One thing exposed in this technology age is that humane methods of slaughter and raising are often not and so inflict mass suffering and pain for animals…
And then there is the moral and Spiritual issues on whether it is necessary to kill animals for food. There is no one answer and there are many viewpoints
Suffice it to say that such issues need to be thought of and contemplated and left to the individual.
Yet our planet is in dire need for a climate reversal ….and so the collective needs to also speed up its understanding of all aspects of food : vegan or non vegan .
Vegan diet or at least moving in that direction can help save the planet. Already many substitutes are being created. There is still an evolution with these products and the debate on whether they should completely copy the taste texture snd all of meat. And many products contain various percents of soy wheat gluten and all and it remains to be seen how to use many lesser known lentils beans legumes and grains in the process that either continue the mimicking of meat and dairy or there is a diff taste snd texture altogether
And it is also a matter of rewiring ourselves to incorporate the many issues surrounding how why and what we eat …
